Staten Island EcoTours was founded with the intention to reconnect people with
their environment within a fun, explorative, and educational framework. We strive to promote a greater appreciation of
natural habitats.
Staten Island EcoTours facilitates responsible and sustainable travel to pristine natural areas. We make every effort to be low impact and small scale (as an alternative to mass tourism). Our practices involve traveling to destinations where the flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are primary attractions.
The areas visited by Staten Island EcoTours are currently underutilized. Staten Island is home to thousands of acres of natural areas, most of which is rarely explored by the local population. Staten Island offers some of the most picturesque and beautiful habitats to be seen in New York.
These areas will directly benefit from having more visitors to appreciate them. They are a habitat to a multitude of plant and animal species which are an important part of the balance of our ecosystems.
